COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Jed Dy carded a 71 (-1) with an eagle and two birdies on Sunday to lead the San José State men’s golf team in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Eisenhower Golf Course.

  • The Spartans sit in 10th place with a team score of 579 (+3) after two rounds.
  • Dy is tied for 36th at 145 (+1) for the tournament.
  • Teammate Ivan Barahona matched Dy’s 71 (-1) with three birdies and just two bogeys. He leads the Spartans team and is tied for ninth place at 141 (-3).
  • Avinash Iyer recorded a 74 (+2) and is tied for 43rd at 146 (+2). 
  • Keshav “KC” Mungali also shot a 74 (+2) with three birdies and is tied for 56th at 147 (+3).
  • Ben Friedman posted a 78 (+6) and stands at 153 (+9) after two rounds.

Two Spartans played as individuals on the Silver Course at Eisenhower Golf Course.

  • Itai Cohen fired a 70 (-2) and is tied for fourth among individuals at 139 (-5).
  • Christian Maggard shot an even-par 72 and is tied for 16th at 144 (E).

UP NEXT: The Spartans head into the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from the Eisenhower Golf Course on Monday.
