RENO, Nev. - Daisy Torres scored the first of her career to lead the San José State women’s soccer team (1-7-2, 0-0-2 MW) in a 1-1 draw against Nevada (1-7-2, 0-1-1 MW).
Nevada struck first in the opening minutes of the second half to put the Wolfpack on top, 1-0. At the 72nd minute, Torres stole the ball from a defender and put it in the back of the net to secure the draw for the Spartans.
- The tie marks the first result for the Spartans over Nevada since April 4, 2020
- Paige Fry recorded six saves on the day
- The Spartans tallied the second-most shots this season with 15
- Paige Pineda-Aliamus recorded a career-high of six shots
- This is the first time since the 2023 season that the Spartans have opened conference play with back-to-back results
