After carrying a 1–0 advantage into halftime, San José State doubled its tally in the 66th minute when Iniguez slotted home his second goal of the year, assisted by Dane Pendleton. Ruiz capped the night with his first career goal in the 80th minute, set up by Anthony Guzman, to put the game out of reach.
