AUGUSTA, Ga. - San José State redshirt junior punter Trent Carrizosa has earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award’s Ray’s Eight for week two.
Carrizosa had an outstanding performance in Saturday’s matchup at No. 6 Texas, where he landed three punts inside the 20-yard line and delivered a 56-yard punt. So far this season, he holds a 46.7-yard average with four punts downed inside the 20.
In week one against Central Michigan, Carrizosa recorded a career-long 68-yard punt.
Last week, he was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List, which recognizes the nation’s top collegiate punter each season.
