TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, creator and sponsor of the Biletnikoff Award, announced today the first in-season additions to the 2025 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, which recognizes college football’s most outstanding FBS receivers. Among the 11 players added is San José State wide receiver Danny Scudero, marking a significant honor for the Spartan standout.
Scudero is enjoying a breakout season, leading the nation with 128.5 receiving yards per game and ranking fourth nationally and first in the Mountain West with 8.25 receptions per game. Through just four contests, he has recorded 33 catches for 514 yards and three touchdowns.
He follows in the footsteps of San José State legend Nick Nash, who became the program’s first Biletnikoff Award Finalist in 2024 after also earning an in-season addition to the watch list.
The Biletnikoff Award annually honors college football’s top pass-catcher, regardless of position—wide receiver, tight end, slot back, or running back. Unlike preseason projections, the in-season watch list reflects actual performance, underscoring Scudero’s impact and consistency on the field this fall.
By earning a spot on the watch list, Scudero joins an elite group of receivers under consideration by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, which is composed of more than 600 journalists, commentators, announcers, and former players.
