STOCKTON, Calif. — Samu Biros scored a season-high five goals to lead the No. 7 San José State men's water polo team (6-5, 1-1 WCC) in a 13-12 loss against No. 18 Pacific (8-5, 2-1 WCC) on Saturday afternoon.
- The Spartans took the lead early, scoring four goals in the first quarter before the Tigers caught up by the end of the half.
- Sam Keightley contributed to the scoring efforts with a hat trick, while Maro Tiozzo, Mitchell Keightley, László Szieben and Louis Fehrensen each scored once.
- Biros and Szieben also added two assists.
- Tiozzo, Mael Suchet, Erik Duesund and Brendon Gyapjas each recorded an assist.
- On the defensive front, Mitchell Keightley and Sam Keightley tallied a steal each.
- Gyapjas in goal counted six saves.
