Spartans Wrap Up Exhibition Against Cal State East Bay

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Javaughn Hannah paced the Spartans with 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the San José State men's basketball team in a 73-60 victory over Cal State East Bay in an exhibition Monday night from Provident Credit Union Event Center.

The Spartans came alive in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 37–22 behind a balanced scoring effort led by Hannah and Sadraque NgaNga.

Yaphet Moundi recorded a double-double, consisting of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while NgaNga added 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting to go along with two steals. Colby Garland tallied 12 points and two assists, while Ben Roseborough contributed seven points, five assists and two blocks from the backcourt.

UP NEXT: The Spartans will open the 2025-26 season against Utah on Monday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. from Salt Lake City, Utah. The game can be watched on ESPN+.
