SAN JOSE, Calif.—Amira Brown recorded a double-double and four Spartans scored in double figures as the San José State women’s basketball team defeated Jessup, 91-84, in an exhibition game Wednesday night inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- Brown was one of two Spartans to lead the team in scoring with 21 points. Brown led the rebounding effort as well with 11 boards, six offensive and five defensive.
- Rylei Waugh came off the bench to score 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
- Maya Anderson scored 16 points and dished out a team-high four assists.
- Allie Cummins rounded out the double-figure scoring with 13 points.
- Harisa Mehmedovic grabbed 10 rebounds, followed by Maya Anderson with eight and Gabriela Pato with seven.
- The Spartans used a 50-point second half, taking the lead for good with 8:30 left in the game on a Cummins three-pointer.
