FRESNO, Calif.—Ten Spartans recorded kills on Saturday, led by Morgan Graves with eight, as the San José State volleyball team fell at Fresno State, 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21), Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West match.
- Ava Hewitt-Smith led the Spartans (6-9, 1-3) with three blocks, one solo and two assists. She hit .312 for the match with seven kills on 16 attempts and only two errors.
- Lolo Fonua and Naima Foster each recorded six kills, while Learden Lee had four kills.
- Talita dos Santos Goncalves led the team with 15 digs and added four assists.
- Fatimah Hall recorded 24 assists, eight digs and two kills, while Clara Christensen added five assists, one kill and one dig.
UP NEXT – The Spartans return home for two matches next week – Thursday the 9th against Nevada at 6 p.m., and Saturday the 11th versus Air Force at 1 p.m. Both matches will be played at Spartan Gym inside the YUH Complex, on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets. Admission to all Spartan volleyball matches is free.
