TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - San José State wide receiver Danny Scudero has been named a 2025 Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc. announced Monday.

This marks the second consecutive season a Spartan has earned semifinalist honors for the prestigious award, following Nick Nash’s recognition as SJSU’s first-ever Biletnikoff Award finalist in 2024.

Scudero has been one of the most dominant receivers in college football this season, leading the nation with 1,155 receiving yards and 115.5 receiving yards per game. He ranks third nationally in receiving touchdowns (10), fifth in receptions (72), and receptions per game (7.2).

Earlier this year, Scudero etched his name into the record books by breaking the San José State single-game record and tying the Mountain West record with four receiving touchdowns in a win at Wyoming (Oct. 11). His four scores also tie for the most in a single FBS game this season.

Scudero is one of 13 semifinalists selected by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a distinguished panel of 600 college football journalists, broadcasters, former players, and past award winners.

The Biletnikoff Award annually honors college football’s top pass-catcher, regardless of position—wide receiver, tight end, slot back, or running back. Unlike preseason projections, the in-season watch list reflects actual performance, underscoring Scudero’s impact and consistency on the field this fall.

The three finalists will be announced on November 25, and the winner will be revealed on December 11, 2025, during The Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN. The Biletnikoff Award Banquet & Celebration will follow on March 28, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida.
