USAFA, Colo.— Sam Keightley recorded a season high five goals to lead the No. 6 San José State men's water polo team (10-6, 4-1 WCC) in a 14-9 win against Air Force (17-12, 0-4 WCC) Sunday afternoon from the United States Air Force Academy.
- Following Sam Keightley on the offense, Giancarlo Marquez and Mateja Bosić each scored two goals and László Szieben, Louis Fehrensen, Samu Biros, Aidan Johnson and Erik Duesund each contributed one apiece.
- Supporting these scoring efforts, Mael Suchet dished out two assists as Szieben, Fehrensen, Biros, Duesund and Bosić drew one.
- On the defensive front, Marquez, Szieben, Biros, Zachary Hegedus and Bosić each drew an exclusion.
- In the net, Brendon Gyapjas tallied nine saves.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will face Cal Baptist in their last conference matchup in the regular season on Nov. 8 at Riverside, Calif., at noon.
