Seven Spartans Earn WCC All-Academic Recognition

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State men's water polo team had seven student athletes receive WCC All-Academic honors announced by the conference on Wednesday. Mitchell Keightley was named to the 2025 WCC Men's Water Polo All-Academic Team for his contributions in and out of the pool. Keightley was one of seven athletes across the conference named to the team.

Mateja Bosic, Erik Duesund, Louis Fehrensen, Brendon Gyapjas, László Szieben and Maro Tiozzo all received WCC All-Academic honorable mention recognition.

To be considered for WCC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school.
