No. 9 Spartans to Open WCC Tournament Against Air Force on ESPN+

SAN JOSE, Calif.- The second seeded Spartans will open the 2025 WCC Tournament against the seventh seed Air Force today at 11 a.m. on ESPN+ in Cadet Natatorium at USAFA, Colo. 

The Spartans are looking to return to the WCC Final for the third year in a row and win their second WCC title in the last three seasons. Since joining the WCC in 2023 they have made appearances in the WCC tournament every year, and made an appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2023. 

The Spartans finished the regular season with a record of 11-7 and ranked No. 9 nationally. The Spartans were named WCC Co-Regular Season Champions after finishing with a conference record of 5-1. Goalie Brendon Gyapjas was named WCC Player of the Year and All-WCC First Team, making him the first Spartan ever to be named WCC Player of the Year. Sam Keightley and Samu Biros were named to the All-WCC Second Team, and Keightley was also named to the All-WCC Freshman Team. Mateja Bosić received an All-WCC Honorable Mention.

If the Spartans win against Air Force, they will then face the winner of the match between No. 10 [3] Pepperdine and No. 17 [6] Santa Clara on Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon PT on ESPN+.
