USAFA, Colo. - The second seeded and ninth ranked Spartans will face No. 15 and fifth seeded Cal Baptist today at 12 p.m. in the WCC Tournament Semifinals on ESPN+ in Cadet Natatorium at USAFA, Colo.
The Spartans are looking for their first WCC Championship since 2023. This also marks the third year in a row the Spartans have made it to the WCC Championship game. Last season, Cal Baptist defeated SJSU in the WCC Championship game.
The Spartans defeated Air Force 14-10 and No. 10 Pepperdine 13-12 in overtime to make it to the WCC Championship.
The Spartans finished the regular season with a record of 11-7 and ranked No. 9 nationally. The Spartans were named WCC Co-Regular Season Champions after finishing with a conference record of 5-1. Goalie Brendon Gyapjas was named WCC Player of the Year and All-WCC First Team, making him the first Spartan ever to be named WCC Player of the Year. Sam Keightley and Samu Biros were named to the All-WCC Second Team, and Keightley was also named to the All-WCC Freshman Team. Mateja Bosić received an All-WCC Honorable Mention.
