MALIBU, Calif.—Rylei Waugh and Katarina Anderson came off the bench to lead the Spartans in scoring as the San José State women’s basketball team fell at Pepperdine, 76-52, Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game at Firestone Fieldhouse.
- Waugh was the only Spartan in double figures with 10 points, her third game this season in double-figures.
- Anderson scored her first Spartan points as she was 3-for-4 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and was 1-for-1 from the free throw line for her nine points.
- The Spartans recorded a season-high nine blocks. Seven Spartans recorded a block, led by Kaliyah Dillard and Harisa Mehmedovic with two each.
- The nine blocks are the most by a Mountain West team this season and the most for San José State since 2016, when SJSU recorded nine in a 72-49 at Air Force on January 20, 2016.
- Amira Brown and Waugh each grabbed six rebounds to lead the team.
