NEW HAVEN, Conn. - San José State’s Danny Scudero has been named to the 2025 Walter Camp Foundation All-America Second Team, as announced Friday night on ESPN.
Scudero becomes just the third player in program history to earn Walter Camp All-America honors. He follows Nick Nash, who was selected to the First Team last season.
A Biletnikoff Award semifinalist and All-Mountain West First Team selection, Scudero produced one of the most prolific receiving seasons ever by a Spartan. He concluded the 2025 regular season leading the nation in receiving yards (1,291) and yards per game (107.6) — the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. His 88 receptions rank third all-time at San José State, fourth nationally, and first in the Mountain West. He also recorded 10 touchdown catches, tied for the fifth-most in a single season in program history and 10th nationally.
Scudero’s historic campaign included a record-setting performance on Oct. 11 at Wyoming, where he hauled in four touchdown receptions, establishing a new SJSU single-game record and tying the Mountain West mark. The four scores also matched the most touchdown catches by any FBS player in a game this season.
