SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State’s Danny Scudero has been named to the 2025 Associated Press (AP) All-America Second Team, the organization announced Monday.
Scudero becomes the 11th Spartan ever to earn AP All-America honors and marks the first time San José State has had AP All-Americans in back-to-back seasons since 1938–39. He follows Nick Nash, who was selected to the AP All-America First Team last year.
A Biletnikoff Award semifinalist and All-Mountain West First Team honoree, Scudero delivered one of the most prolific receiving seasons in program history. He concluded the 2025 regular season leading the nation in receiving yards (1,291) and yards per game (107.6) — the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. His 88 receptions rank third all-time at SJSU, fourth nationally, and first in the Mountain West. Scudero also recorded 10 touchdown catches, tied for the fifth-most in a season in school history and 10th nationally.
Scudero’s historic year featured a record-breaking performance on Oct. 11 at Wyoming, where he hauled in four touchdown receptions, setting a new SJSU single-game record and tying the Mountain West mark. The four scores also matched the most touchdown catches by any FBS player in a game this season.
Last week, Scudero was named to the Walter Camp Foundation All-American Second-Team and to the Second Team CBS Sports/247 Sports All-America Team.
