WACO, Texas - San José State wide receiver Danny Scudero has been selected to the 2025 AFCA FBS Coaches’ All-America Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Scudero becomes just the third Spartan ever to earn AFCA Coaches’ All-America honors, joining Nick Nash (2024) and Dwight Lowery (2007).

A Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist and All-Mountain West First Team honoree, Scudero delivered one of the most productive receiving seasons in program history. He finished the 2025 regular season leading the nation with 1,291 receiving yards and 107.6 yards per game, the fifth-highest single-season mark in SJSU history. His 88 receptions rank third all-time at San José State, fourth nationally, and first in the Mountain West. He also tallied 10 receiving touchdowns, tied for the fifth-most in a single season in program history and 10th nationally.

Scudero also etched his name into the record book on Oct. 11 at Wyoming, where he recorded four touchdown receptions, setting a new SJSU record and tying the Mountain West single-game mark. The performance also tied for the most touchdown catches by any FBS player in a game this season.

In the last few days, Scudero was also named to the Associated Press (AP) All-America Second Team, the Walter Camp Foundation All-American Second-Team, and to the Second Team CBS Sports/247 Sports All-America Team.
