Mountain West Announces SJSU’s 2026 Football Conference Opponents

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced San José State’s 2026 football conference opponents on Thursday. SJSU will host New Mexico, Northern Illinois, UNLV, and Wyoming at CEFCU Stadium, and will travel to face Air Force, Hawai‘i, Nevada, and UTEP.

The 2026 season will also mark the first year in which Northern Illinois and UTEP compete as members of the Mountain West Conference.

Dates and times will be announced at a later time.

Home Games – CEFCU Stadium

New Mexico
San José State has won 11 of the last 13 meetings against the Lobos.

Northern Illinois (NIU)
The matchup marks the second meeting all-time and the first as Mountain West Conference opponents.

UNLV
The Spartans have won four of the last five contests against the Rebels.

Wyoming
SJSU has taken six of the last eight games versus the Cowboys.

Away Games

Air Force
San José State won the most recent meeting in Colorado Springs, 17–7.

Hawai‘i
The Spartans enter the matchup having won five straight over the Rainbow Warriors.

Nevada
SJSU has claimed three of the last five games against the Wolf Pack.

UTEP
San José State has won three straight against the Miners; this will be the first meeting as Mountain West Conference opponents.
