Pollard, Scudero Lead Spartans with All-Mountain West Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State linebacker Jordan Pollard and wide receiver Danny Scudero were selected to the All-Mountain West First Team, leading seven Spartans honored with 2025 All-Mountain West football awards, the conference announced Tuesday.

This marks Pollard’s second consecutive first-team selection, and it is the second straight year an SJSU wide receiver has earned first-team recognition.

Quarterback Walker Eget, defensive lineman Gafa Faga, wide receivers Kyri Shoels and Leland Smith, and defensive end Vili Taufatofua each received All-Mountain West Honorable Mention honors.

Jordan Pollard, LB, Senior, Los Angeles, Calif./Faith Lutheran HS

  • Finished fourth in the conference and 21st in the nation in tackles with 108 and had 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a fumble recovery, two forced fumbles, three pass breakups, and a pick-six.
  • Pollard's career 353 total tackles is good for ninth all-time in SJSU history
  • In his final game on Saturday against Fresno St. (11/29/25), Pollard had 19 tackles with a 58-yard pick six, plus a tackle for loss and forced fumble. 
  • The 19 tackles were the third-most in an FBS game this season and are a career-high, and that was his first career touchdown.
