SAN JOSE, Calif. - Ben Roseborough led all scorers with 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting and Pasha Goodarzi tallied a career-high 18 points and four made threes to lead the San José State men’s basketball team (6-11, 1-5 MW) in a 70-62 victory over Air Force  (3-14, 0-6 MW) Tuesday night from the Provident Credit Union Event Center.

The Spartans played without four starters in the game, sidelined due to injury. “Guys stepped up and these opportunities are making these guys [better].” Coach Miles said in his postgame press conference. “Hopefully they’re gaining confidence moving forward.”

The Spartans jumped out to a 27–21 lead at the half and never relinquished the advantage, extending the margin to as many as 11 points midway through the second half. San José State finished the night shooting 46.9 percent from the field and held Air Force to 44.7 percent shooting overall.

Adrian Myers finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Melvin Bell Jr. also reached double-digits with 10 points.

  • The Spartans have now won seven games in a row over Air Force, dating back to 2022
  • Roseborough’s 42 points across his last two games is the most by a Spartan freshman since MJ Amey Jr. scored 42 over two games in February, 2022.
  • Goodarzi and Bell played all 40 minutes of the game
  • Goodarzi dished out three assists in the game which was also a career-high
  • Bell has now scored in double-figures in six games in a row
  • Off the bench, Douglas Langford contributed four points, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals
  • The Spartans forced Air Force into 16 turnovers, leading to 21 SJSU points
