SAN JOSE, Calif.—Allie Cummins scored a career-high 20 points, including 13 in third quarter, to lead the San José State women’s basketball team in a 78-50 loss to Mountain West co-leader UNLV Wednesday night at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- Cummins was 7-for-12 from the field, 4-for-8 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
- She is the second Spartan to score 20+ points in game this season.
- Gabriela Pato was the only other Spartan in double figures, tying her career high with 11 points including 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
- Maya Anderson scored six points and led the Spartans with six rebounds.
- Anderson and Carla Fuster each dished out four assists for SJSU.
- The Spartans were down 45-25 with 5:27 left in the third quarter before going on a 13-2 run to cut the Lady Rebel lead to 47-38 on two Cummins free throws with 1:45 left in the quarter.
