Spartans to Host UNLV on Mountain West Network

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State men’s basketball team (6-11, 1-5 MW) will host UNLV (8-8, 3-2 MW) at the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (PT). The game can be watched on Mountain West Network and can be heard on KTRB 860 AM.

  • Washington is averaging the second most minutes per game in the Mountain West this season. His averages of 11.1 points and 3.3 assists per game are big jumps from his freshman season where he averaged 4.4 ppg and 1.0 apg
  • Washington also leads the Spartans in steals with 1.2 steals per game
  • Pasha Goodarzi is shooting .452 from three this season
  • Goodarzi is averaging 2.2 threes per game in conference play, the sixth most in the conference
  • In conference play, Melvin Bell Jr. is averaging 13.5 points per game, the 13th best mark in the MW. Bell scored a career-high 17 points against Grand Canyon
  • Bell is the only Spartan to play in every game this season
  • Marcus Overstreet is averaging 14.7 rebounds per 40 minutes, the highest on the team
  • Douglas Langford was the recipient of the first ever "GATA" belt after recording three blocks and two steals against Air Force
