SAN JOSE, Calif. – San José State football has added a home-and-home series with Jax State beginning in the 2026 season, as announced by both programs on Wednesday.
The addition of the Jax State contest brings the Spartans' 2026 home slate to seven games.
The Spartans will host the Gamecocks at CEFCU Stadium on Sept. 26, 2026, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs. San José State will later travel to Jacksonville, Alabama, to complete the series on Sept. 22, 2035.
Historical Home Schedule:
- This marks only the second time in three seasons—and just the second time since 2006—that the program has hosted seven games in a single year.
- Additionally, 2026 will mark the first time since 2006 that CEFCU Stadium will host three consecutive non-conference games.
Spring Game Update:
- Fans can get their first look at the team during the annual Spring Game on April 25. Further details regarding kickoff time and fan activities will be released at a later date.

- Sept. 12 vs. Cal Poly (CEFCU Stadium)
- Sept. 19 vs. Fresno State (CEFCU Stadium)
