Three Spartans Win Titles at Utah State

LOGAN, Utah—Kaviana Jurries, Samantha Macasu and Sophie Patterson won individual titles to help the San José State women’s gymnastics team to a 194.675 score in a dual Mountain West meet at Utah State, who posted a 195.050.

  • Jurries won her second consecutive vault title with a career-best 9.875.
  • Macasu won her second bars title in three meets with a career-high 9.850.
  • Patterson won her first collegiate title, taking the all-around with a 38.875.
  • Devyn Valuch led the beam team with a 9.775.
  • Kaylee Larson tied her season-best with a 9.800 to lead the Spartan floor team.
    UP NEXT – The Spartans open the home portion of the schedule on Sunday, February 1, with a tri-meet against Southern Utah and Texas Woman’s. The meet begins at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. on Kids Day.
