SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sadraque NgaNga recorded a career-high 15 points to lead the San José men’s basketball team (6-15, 1-9 MW) in a 89-58 loss to Boise State (13-8, 5-5 MW) Tuesday night from the Provident Credit Union Event Center, presented by Rubenstein Supply.
The Spartans trailed by just three at halftime, 36–33, after a competitive opening 20 minutes that featured multiple lead changes and four ties.
Boise State took control after the break, shooting 65.6 percent from the floor in the second half and outscoring the Spartans 53–25 over the final 20 minutes.
Jermaine Washington also reached double-figures with 13 points. Colby Garland added 10 points and four assists off the bench. Marcus Overstreet tallied seven rebounds off the bench, five of which were offensive.
San José State finished the game shooting 37.7 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Spartans were outrebounded 39–20 and were outscored 56–24 in the paint.
