Spartans Open 2026 Season in Stanford Tournament

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José softball team will participate in four tournaments to start the 2026 slate. They will first play in the Stanford tournament from Friday, Feb. 6, to Sunday, Feb. 8, in Palo Alto, Calif. The Spartans will face Oklahoma State, Stanford and Cal.

2026 SCHEDULE

  • Following the Stanford tournament, the Spartans will then have their home opener and face off against UC Santa Barbara, Illinois State, Utah and Washington in the Silicon Valley Classic I from Feb. 13-15.
  • Following the SVC, the Spartans will be on the road for two tournaments to end February. The first being the Mustang Classic in San Luis Obispo, Calif., then in the UC Davis/Sacramento State Tournament in both Davis, Calif. and Sacramento, Calif. 
  • The Spartans will then play/host their final tournament and non-conference games by hosting the SVC II. They will be hosting doubleheaders against both Santa Clara and Saint Mary's.  
  • Conference play starts at home with a weekend series from March 13-15 against UNLV.
  • The final homestand of the season will be against New Mexico from April 24-26 at the Spartan Softball Complex. 
  • The Mountain West Tournament will be held May 6-9 in Reno, Nev.  
  • The Spartan roster will feature 11 returners, nine freshman and one transfer.
