SPARTANS HEAD TO BOISE ONE LAST TIME:  The San José State women’s basketball team travels to Boise State this Saturday for the final MW game between the two schools. The Broncos are currently fourth in the conference standings and also had a bye this past Wednesday. This is the final meeting between the programs as members of the Mountain West. The schools have competed against each other in the Western Athletic Conference and the MW.

San José State enters the game with a 3-18 overall record and a 1-9 mark in the Mountain West. The Spartans are looking to start a new winning streak after falling to conference leader San Diego State, 94-66, last Saturday, the 24th. Allie Cummins led the team with 19 points, while Stella Sgro added 11.

ABOUT BOISE STATE:  The Broncos enter Saturday’s game with a 16-5 overall record and 7-3 MW mark. The team enters the game with a six-game winning streak, having defeated Grand Canyon 75-65 at home last Saturday. Head coach Gordy Presnell is in his 21st season at the school and 39th as a head coach.

SHOOTING PERFECTION: Guard Allie Cummins had a perfect game from the field against San Diego State. She was 7-for-7 from the field, including 5-of-5 from three-point range, as she led the Spartans with 19 points that day. She also dished out four assists for SJSU.

BLOCK PARTY!: San José State is among the top-100 teams in the country in blocked shots with 82, 3.9 pg. The Spartans blocked a season-high nine blocks in the game at Pepperdine on November 23.  The nine blocks are the most by a Mountain West team this season and the most by an SJSU team since the nine recorded in a 72-49 win at Air Force on January 20, 2016.

Gabriela Pato leads the team with 25 blocks, including four against Saint Mary’s, while Kaliyah Dillard is second with 19, with three at BYU and at Colorado State.
