BOISE, Idaho—Amira Brown recorded her second 20-point game of the season as the San José State women’s basketball team fell at Boise State, 96-62, Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West game at ExtraMile Arena.
- Brown led all Spartan scorers with 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range. She was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
- Carla Fuster added a season-high 12 points, including 4-for-4 from the free-throw line and two made threes.
- Maya Anderson was the third Spartan in double-figures with 10 points.
- Nine Spartans saw action in the game, and all nine scored in the game.
- Gabriela Pato led the Spartan rebounding effort with eight, followed by Anderson with six.
- San José State blocked six shots for the second consecutive game. Pato had a team-high three blocks, followed by Brown with two and one from Allie Cummins.
- The Spartans shot 81 percent from the free-throw line (17-21), the fourth game this season that SJSU has shot 80 percent or better from the line.
- San José State was held scoreless for the first 3:56 of the game and was down 39-14 after one. SJSU responded in the second with 17 points and held Boise State to 17 points.
