FRESNO, Calif.—Carla Fuster and Allie Cummins each scored 11 points to lead San José State Wednesday night in a 67-52 loss at Fresno State in a Mountain West game at the Save Mart Center.

  • Fuster was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line.
  • Cummins was 4-for-6 from the line and 3-for-5 from the field.
  • Gabriela Pato and Maya Anderson each grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
  • Anderson added nine points, while Stella Sgro and Pato each scored seven points.
  • The Spartans made a season-high 24 free throws on a season-high 32 attempts. The team shot 75 percent from the line.
  • For the third time this season, San José State made more free throws, 24, than field goals, 12.
  • SJSU recorded six blocks, two each by Pato and Kaliyah Dillard.
  • After trailing 13-3 early in the first quarter, the Spartans used an 11-0 run to take a 14-13 lead with 52.4 seconds left in the quarter with two made free throws by Pato.
  • The Spartans scored just nine points in the second quarter, Mecca Alexander with three made free throws, to lead the team.
  • San José State outscored Fresno State, 29-21 in the second half, 10-8 in the third quarter and 19-13 in the fourth quarter.
  • The Spartan defense held the Bulldogs scoreless for the first 4:26 of the fourth quarter and without a basketball for the first 5:19.
