SPARTANS PLAY FIRST OF TWO ON THE ROAD WEDNESDAY: The San José State women’s basketball team goes on the road for two games this week, the first Wednesday night at New Mexico. The Spartans will end the week with a game at Air Force on Saturday.
San José State enters the game with a 3-21 overall record and a 1-12 mark in the Mountain West. The Spartans fell to Mountain West leader San Diego State, 81-52, Saturday afternoon at home. Maya Anderson led a trio of Spartans who scored in double figures with 16 points. Kaliyah Dillard grabbed a career-high nine rebounds to lead SJSU.
ABOUT NEW MEXICO: The Lobos enter Wednesday night’s game with a 16-8 overall record and 8-5 mark in the Mountain West. The team sits in fifth place in the conference standings after winning four of the team’s past five games. Head coach Mike Bradbury is in his 10th year at the school and 19th overall as a head coach.

The nine blocks are the most by a Mountain West team this season and the most by an SJSU team since the nine recorded in a 72-49 win at Air Force on January 20, 2016.
Gabriela Pato leads the team with 30 blocks, including four against Saint Mary’s, while Kaliyah Dillard is second with 21, with three at BYU and at Colorado State.
