USAFA, Colo.—Maya Anderson and Amira Brown combined to score 31 of the Spartans’ 61 points as the San José State women’s basketball team fell at Air Force, 77-61, Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West game at Clune Arena.
- Anderson led the Spartans in scoring for the fourth consecutive game and 14th time this season with 16 points and dished out a team-high four assists.
- Brown added 15 points, going 7-for-10 from the free throw line and making two three-pointers.
- Carla Fuster was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field for seven points, while Katarina Anderson scored six points.
- Anderson and Kaliyah Dillard each grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds, while Brown gathered 5 boards.
- The Spartans led after the first quarter, 16-12, and at halftime, 33-31.
- All 10 Spartans, who saw action in the game, scored at least two points.
- San José State shot 45.5% from the field (20-44), including 60% in the first quarter (6-10) and 54.5% in the second quarter (6-11).
- SJSU shot 40% or better from three-point range for the third consecutive game as the team was 9-for-22 for 40.9%. Seven Spartans made at least one three-pointer in the game.
- For the second consecutive game, San José State did not block a shot in the game.
