
JOHNSTOWN, Pa.— A program record, 22 players from the San José State men's water polo team from the 2025 season, have been named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic team. To qualify, student-athletes need a 3.2 or higher on a 4.00 scale.
Since the program was reinstated beginning with the 2015 season, 84 Spartans have earned 101 ACWPC All-Academic honors.
László Szieben and Erik Duesund received their third ACWPC All-Academic award. Alexey Poletaev, Mateja Bosić, Mitchell Keightley, Brendon Gyapjas, Louis Fehrensen, Luke Burns, Nathan Correia, Zach Ramans, Mael Suchet and Giancarlo Marquez all received their second ACWPC honors. While Bence Kristok, Liam Dodunski, Michael Minera, Sam Keightley, Declan Goldstein, Samu Biros, Aidan Johnson, Maro Tiozzo, Ryder Adams, and Zalan Hegedus made it up their way to the list of recipients.

- The team's average GPA was 3.57
- The Spartans are coming off their fall season with a second appearance at the NCAA Tournament within the last three seasons.
- They were named the 2025 WCC Champions.
