FINAL ROAD TRIP STARTS AT NEVADA WEDNESDAY:  The San José State women’s basketball team makes its final road trip of the regular season this week with two games, beginning with Nevada on Wednesday. The Spartans then travel to GCU for a Saturday game.  The Wolf Pack are led by MW Freshman of the Week Skylar Durley.

San José State enters Wednesday’s game with a 4-24 overall record and a 2-15 mark in the Mountain West. The Spartans are looking for their first road win of the season. SJSU won the earlier meeting this season, 60-57, as Maya Anderson made a layup with 32 seconds left to give SJSU a 58-57 lead, and Allie Cummins made two free throws with 10 seconds left to seal the win. Anderson led all scorers with 15 points.

ABOUT NEVADA: The Wolf Pack enter Wednesday night’s game with an 8-19 overall record and 4-13 Mountain West mark. The team is currently 10th in the standings after falling at Fresno State, 54-44, last Saturday, and at Grand Canyon, 65-51, last Wednesday. Head coach Amanda Levens is in her ninth season at the school.

BACK-2-BACK 20-POINT EFFORTS: Maya Anderson is the only Spartan this season to have back-to-back games with 20 points or more. She scored 22 in the victory over Utah State on February 18. She was 7-for-13 from the field, 2-of-3 from three-point range and 6-for-9 from the free throw line. Against Boise State, she added 20 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

FREE THROW PERFECTION: Maya Anderson was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the game against Boise State on February 21. She is the first Spartan to make 10 or more free throws in a game this season. Anderson is the second player in the Mountain West to go 10-for-10 from the line this year.
