Three Spartans Receive All-Mountain West Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Three San José State women’s swimmers, Ela Freiman, Genevieve George and Lillie Grover, have received All-Mountain West recognition for their performances at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships.

Ela Freiman, 200 IM, 400 IM

  • Fourth in the 200 IM at 1:58.99
  • Broke her own 200 IM school record and the only Spartan in school history to break the 2-minute barrier in the race
  • Finished eighth in the 400 IM at 4:20.31

Genevieve George, 200 IM

  • Finished seventh in 200 IM at 2:00.76

Lillie Grover, 100 Fly, 200 Fly

  • Finished fourth in the 100 fly at 52.91, the second-fastest time in school history
  • Fifth in the 200 fly with a season-best 1:58.12, also the second-fastest time in school history

UP NEXT – The Spartans will send 11 swimmers to the CCSCAA National Invitational Championships, March 12-14, in Ocala, Fla.
