SAN JOSE, Calif.—Maya Anderson and Amira Brown scored in double figures as the San José State women’s basketball team fell to Fresno State, 79-50, Wednesday night in a Mountain West game inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- Anderson led the team in scoring for the 11th time this season with 14 points. She also led SJSU in rebounding for the 11th time this season with nine rebounds.
- Brown contributed 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
- San José State scored just four points in the second quarter, the third time this season they have been held to four points in a quarter.
- The Spartans were held without a basket for 12:18 of the second and third quarters.
- San José State blocked seven shots in the game, the second game this season with seven blocks and the third consecutive game with six or more blocks.
- Gabriela Pato had two blocks, while five others had one block.
- Katarina Anderson played a season-high 32:51, dishing out a team-high four assists to go with five points, four rebounds, one steal and a blocked shot.
- Carla Fuster added seven points as she went 2-for-3 from three-point range.
