FORT COLLINS, Colo.– Colby Garland recorded a game high 21 points while playing all 40 minutes.lead the San José State men’s basketball team (6-17, 1-11 MW) in a 65-57 loss to Colorado State (13-10, 4-8 MW) Saturday night from Moby Arena.
The Spartans kept the game tight throughout the first half and trailed by just one point, 30–29, at the break. San José State briefly took the lead early in the second half, but Colorado State quickly retook the lead and would not relinquish it.
Pasha Goodarzi added 15 points and knocked down a pair of three-pointers, and Melvin Bell Jr. contributed seven points and four rebounds. Both Bell and Goodarzi also played all 40 minutes as the Spartans had six players inactive due to injury.
San José State shot 35 percent from the field and 25 percent from three in the game. However, the Spartans held Colorado State to 38 percent from the field and 22 percent from three. The Rams outrebounded the Spartans 48-28.

- Goodarzi went 5-for-5 from the foul line, recorded a career-high in free throws made in a game

- Adrian Myers recorded six rebounds to along with a career-high four assists and three steals in the game
- Japhet Moupadele tallied a career-high two blocks
- Marcus Overstreet collected his 500th career rebound in the contest
- The Spartans only turned the ball over four times in the game
