SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State Athletics today announced a transformative shift in its ticketing and game-day strategy for the 2026 Spartan Football season. Anchored by a new “Fan-Friendly” pricing model, the initiative prioritizes Community Focus, Family Fun, and Fan Experience to ensure the South Bay’s premier college football experience remains accessible to all.
The 2026 home slate will feature matchups against Cal Poly, Fresno State, Wyoming, New Mexico, Northern Illinois (NIU), UNLV, and the first-ever game against North Dakota State (NDSU), as the Spartans will host seven home games for just the second time since 2006.
The 2026 Fan-Friendly initiative is built on three core pillars:
- Community Focused: The mission is to make CEFCU Stadium the premier gathering place for the South Bay by lowering season ticket entry points.
- Fan Friendly: By concentrating fans into the lower level, SJSU aims to create an intimate, electric environment that turns CEFCU Stadium into the toughest place to play in the Mountain West.
- Family Fun: The model is designed to be affordable for parents, offering discounted family bundles to ensure the next generation can fall in love with the game.
Enhancing the "Home Turf" Advantage
- In addition to the new pricing structure, SJSU Athletics is announcing a strategic shift in stadium seating. Starting in 2026, season ticket memberships and individual game tickets will be concentrated exclusively in the lower level of CEFCU Stadium to maximize game-day energy. While the upper level will be closed for general season and single-game sales, it will remain available for large group sales and "Community Nights" for local businesses and schools.
Season Ticket Memberships Available Now
- The 2026 home slate is highlighted by the home opener against Cal Poly on Sept. 12, the highly anticipated "Battle for the Valley" against Fresno State on Sept. 19, and the first-ever meeting against North Dakota State on Nov. 28.
- Season ticket memberships offer the same seat for all seven action-packed home games and include benefits such as priority renewal, ticket exchange programs, and priority access to postseason tickets.
Fans are encouraged to visit SJSUspartans.com/tickets or call the Spartan Ticket Office at 408-924-7589 to secure their seats.
