SAN JOSE, Calif.—On Alumni Weekend, the San José State beach volleyball team fell to Saint Mary’s, 5-0, after defeating College of Siskiyous, 5-0, in an exhibition dual earlier on Friday at Spartan Beach.
Against the Gaels, Addison DeMarse and Kaia Fanshier battled in their three-set match, falling 21-19 in the first set, coming back to win 21-19, to force a third set that went extra points before losing 17-15.
In the sixth (exhibition) position, Kylee Moore and Sophia Torres were victorious, 21-19 and 21-17, against Saint Mary’s.
The Spartans swept all five matches in the exhibition dual versus Siskiyous.
UP NEXT – The Spartans continue at home Saturday on Alumni Day with a dual against Pacific at 4 p.m., and an exhibition against Cabrillo College at 9 a.m.
