BERKELEY, Calif.—Kaylee Larson recorded the best score of the night for the Spartans as the San José State women’s gymnastics team scored a 196.075 in a tri-meet at California with Stanford Friday night at Haas Pavilion.
- Larson tied for second on the floor with a 9.900, her second time recording her career-best score on floor in three meets.
- Sophie Patterson scored a 39.200 in the all-around to finish fourth.
- The Spartans recorded a 48.975 on beam to start the night. Patterson and Genesis PeBenito each scored a 9.825 to lead the team.
- The floor team posted the team’s best event score of the evening with a 49.125, led by Larson’s 9.900. Patterson and Kaviana Jurries each had a 9.850.
- The vault team scored a 49.075, led by Jurries at 9.875, Ava Johnson at 9.850 and Patterson at 9.800.
- The bars team finished the meet with a 48.900. Samantha Macasu had a team-high 9.875, followed by Jurries at 9.850.
UP NEXT – The Spartans compete at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on Saturday, March 21, at Boise State. The meet begins at 6 p.m. MT/5 p.m PT. Fans can watch on the Mountain West Network.
