COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State freshman gymnast Sophie Patterson has been honored as the Mountain West Freshman of the Year, and Patterson and four of her teammates have received All-MW honors for the 2026 season.

- Team’s all-around competitor with a 39.075 NQS
- 9.835 vault NQS
- Four-time MW Freshman of the Week honors
- Two-time Vault Specialist of the Week, winning vault titles at two meets
- Third in the conference on beam with a 9.850 NQS
- MW Beam Specialist of the Week honors after winning the Spartan Quad
- Received a 9.925 on beam at Sacramento State in February, tying the second-highest score in school history
- First Team Vault
- Second in the Mountain West on vault with a 9.870 NQS
- Four-time MW Vault Specialist of the Week
- Won six vault titles including a 9.900 at the Spartan Quad
- First Team Vault
- Third in the conference on vault with a 9.850 NQS
- Two-time MW Vault Specialist of the Week
- Won four vault titles including at the first meet of the season where she scored a 9.925
- Second Team Bars
- Fourth in the Mountain West on bars with a 9.845 NQS
- Won two bars titles this season
- Season-best 9.900 at a tri-meet with Air Force and Denver
- Second Team Floor
- Team-best 9.850 NQS on floor
- Recorded a 9.900 on floor twice this year
- Won her first floor title at the Spartan Quad
