INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The San José State women’s gymnastics team will be making their 10th appearance at an NCAA Regional this April as the Spartans were selected to compete at the Corvallis Regional, April 2-5, at Gill Coliseum.
- The Spartans are one of 36 teams competing at regionals and finished the season with a 195.725 national qualifying score (NQS).
- San José State opens the regional on Thursday, April 2, with a dual meet against Washington, beginning at 2 p.m. PT. Fans can watch on ESPN+.
- The winner of the meet will advance to the second round Friday night to compete against UCLA, Minnesota and Iowa, beginning at 7 p.m., on ESPN+.
- If the Spartans do not advance to the second round, a number of SJSU gymnasts will compete on individual events.
- The Spartans would be well represented on vault with Kaviana Jurries, Sophie Patterson and Mikaela Pitts.
- Mountain West Bars Champion Samantha Macasu will compete on uneven bars.
- Patterson would also compete on beam as an individual specialist.
The top two teams from each regional receive an automatic berth to the national championships, April 16-18, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
