SJSU Falls to Boise State in Mountain West Tournament

LAS VEGAS — Three Spartans scored in double figures, led by Maya Anderson with 18 points, as the 12th-seeded San José State women’s basketball team (4-28, 2-18 MW) fell to 5th-seeded Boise State (24-8, 14-6 MW), 68-51, in the first round of the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Championship on Saturday from Thomas & Mack Center to conclude their season.

M.Anderson led the Spartans in scoring for the 19th time this season, recording her 24th game in double figures. She also paced SJSU with nine rebounds, contributing to the team's total of 38.

Katarina Anderson added 13 points, matching her season high, and shot 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. She also recorded five rebounds and led the team with four assists.

Coming off the bench, Gabriela Pato also contributed 13 points, which tied her season high. She added five rebounds and led the team with three blocked shots.
