Spartans to Face Boise and Utah State

SAN JOSE, Calif.— The San José State women's tennis team (7-9, 0-6 MW) will face off against Boise State (13-3, 5-1 MW) on Thursday, April 2, and Utah State (8-8, 2-4 MW) on Saturday, April 4. Both conference matchups will start at noon and take place at the Spartan Tennis Complex. 

  • In the Spartans' last matchup against the Broncos, they took the match 4-2, with a singles win from Soledad Fayos Capilla
  • Against the Aggies, the Spartans have a 10-match win streak.
  • The Spartans faced the Aggies twice in the 2024-25 season, with the first being 4-1, and then the second 4-0, which took place during the Mountain West Tournament.
  • In the regular season against the Aggies, the Spartans took the match with singles wins from Emma Fantousis and Duru Durgun.
  • In the Mountain West Tournament, Fayos Capilla and Durgun helped push the Spartans past the Aggies. 
  • On the season, Durgun is 9-4 in dual singles play, winning all of her matches in straight sets. 
  • Cristina Mateos Losada has a record of 6-3 in dual singles play.
