
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Zine Eddine Bedri, a 6-10 forward transfer from Columbia University, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2026-27 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans as a graduate transfer
- Previously spent four seasons at Columbia
- Averaged 12.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting .543 from the field and .444 from three across five games last season
- Notched a season-high 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds at Lehigh last season
- In 2024-25, he appeared in 24 games and started 23 of them, averaging 8.1 points in over 18 minutes per game
- Appeared in 27 games for Columbia in both his freshman and sophomore seasons
- College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection in 2023-24 and 2024-25
- Played for Team Qatar at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup
- A June 2022 graduate of the DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla
- Played a post-graduate year at DME Academy for its Blue Team
- Averaged 18.2 points and 9.0 rebounds per game during post-graduate year
- Averaged 12.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game at Spring Creek and led the Spartans to the TCAL state championship
