STOCKTON, Calif.—Grace Baker and Kaia Fanshier went 2-0 on Saturday as the San José State beach volleyball team went 1-1 in two duals at the University of the Pacific.

  • Baker and Fanshier recorded the only Spartan point in the 4-1 loss to UC Davis to start the day. They needed three sets for the 17-21, 21-15, 15-4 win.
  • The pair got their second win of the day against the Tigers with a 25-27, 21-13, 15-10 victory.
  • The Spartans defeated host Pacific, 3-0, as the dual was shortened due to the weather in the area. Two matches were left unfinished once the third point was clinched.
  • Addison DeMarse and Olivia Paxton won in the fifth position, 21-16, 20-22, 15-10.
  • Sabrina Moore and Anna Salmon won in straight sets, 21-15, 21-18.

UP NEXT – The Spartans play two more duals in Stockton on Sunday against Saint Mary’s at noon and CSU Bakersfield at 4 p.m.
