SAN JOSE, Calif.— Cristina Mateos Losada won in the first set of her match to lead the San José State women's tennis team (7-10, 0-7 MW) in a 4-0 loss against Boise State (14-3, 6-1 MW) on Thursday afternoon from the Spartan Tennis Complex. 

  • The Spartans lost the doubles point after valiant efforts on courts one and two.
  • Tara Mihaljevic fell short in her singles match, 6-1, 6-1. 
  • Camila Celis dropped her match, 6-1, 6-0.
  • Soledad Fayos Capilla slipped her match on court three, 6-2, 6-2. 
  • Duru Durgun competed on court one in a tight matchup going into tiebreaks in the first set, but left her match unfinished. 
  • Mateos Losada won in her first set, 6-3, before also leaving her match unfinished. 

UP NEXT: The Spartans will remain home and face Utah State on Saturday, April 4, at noon.
