
LAS VEGAS - San José State junior standout Duru Durgun has been named to the 2026 Women's Tennis All-Mountain West Singles Team, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
This prestigious honor marks the second consecutive year Durgun has earned a spot on the All-Mountain West Singles team, further cementing her status as one of the premier competitors in the conference.
Season Highlights
Durgun was a force at the top of the lineup for the Spartans throughout the 2026 campaign. Her season was defined by consistency and elite performance against top-tier programs:
- Total Victories: Tallied 14 singles wins on the season.
- Top Flight Success: Secured nine victories playing in the No. 1 position.
- Signature Wins: Earned pivotal points for the Spartans with victories over opponents from Arizona, Colorado, BYU, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, Air Force, New Mexico, and Colorado State.
The Spartans head into postseason play on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas. SJSU enters the Mountain West Tournament as the No. 11 seed and is set to square off against the No. 6-seeded Utah State.
