HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—The San José State beach volleyball team finished the 2026 season on Thursday with a 3-0 loss to No. 20 Washington in an elimination game at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament at Spiker Beach in Huntington Beach, Calif.
- The Spartans played tough on Thursday as three Spartan pairs went 21-19 in the loss, and Kaia Fanshier and Grace Baker pushed their first set to 23-21.
- Two Spartan pairs did not finish their matches as the winning point was clinched before they ended.
- The Spartans end the season with a 9-21 overall record, competing for the first season in the MPSF.
- Fanshier and Baker finished the season with a 13-13 overall record to lead the team.
