SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (21-27, 8-13 MW) will host Fresno State (14-35-1, 3-17-1 MW) in a three game series at Excite Ballpark.
First pitches will be Thursday at 6:05 p.m., Friday at 2:05 p.m. and Saturday at 12:05 p.m. Every game can be watched on the Mountain West Network. Friday's game can also be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
The Spartans will also celebrate senior day on Saturday. The Spartans will celebrate 19 seniors, including Jesse Gutierrez, Cade Cushing and Neil Jansen who were members of the 2023 Mountain West Championship teams.
- The Spartans are looking for their fifth trip in a row to the Mountain West championship game and first Mountain West conference championship since 2023
- The Spartans went 2-0 against Fresno State earlier this year on the road in non-con matchups

- If the season ended today, Fernandes would have the third best batting average in a season in SJSU history and become the fourth Spartan ever to bat over .400
- Jake McCoy has 14 home runs so far this season, good for the most in the MW and currently tied for fifth most all-time in a single season in program history
- McCoy has 23 career home runs, currently the seventh most in SJSU history
- David Thomas has started 13 games so far this season, the most in the conference. Thomas has three complete games this season, the third best in the country
- Dylan Smith's ERA of 4.26 is the best on the Spartans. Smith is allowing 2.2 walks per nine innings, the second lowest rate in the MW
- JC Osorio-Agard has 16 doubles this season and is averaging 0.40 doubles per game, the 22nd best rate in the nation
